Howard David Jacobs, 89, of Fredericksburg, passed away at his home with his loving family at his bedside. Howard was born on December 23, 1927 to James William and Abby (Orrison) Jacobs in Loudoun Co. Va. He married Phyllis Louise Frye on April 30, 1951 in Fredrick, MD and she survives. Howard worked in heavy equipment construction his whole career. Howard and Phyllis moved to the Fredericksburg area in 1968. Other survivors include three sons; Ralph David (Vanessa Lynnette), Daniel Eugene, Richard William (Susan Ann); daughter, Pamela Louise Jacobs; six grandchildren; Holly S. Jacobs, Melody J. Beard, Charity H. Adams, Richard W. Jacobs, Jr., Danielle L. Emiro, Paul R. Smith, Jr.; six great grandchildren; Trevor Blue, Matthew Diehr, Devlin Sacra, Jacob Klein, Tyrus and Camden Beard. Graveside services will be held on Monday December 11, 2017 at 11 am at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
