Obit for J. Roy Johnson
J. Roy Johnson, 85, formerly of Wayzata MN and Fairfax City, VA, now of Locust Grove, VA, passed away Tuesday December 21, 2004 at the Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Johnson was a U.S. WWII Army Air-Force Veteran and a retired engineer, serving the Federal Power Commission from 1959 to 1984. He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Mildred L. Johnson; his daughter, Jan Banton of Fairfax; his three sons, Brian Johnson of Richmond, Mark Johnson of Atlanta and Glen A. Johnson of Leesburg; his brother Kenneth Johnson of Superior, Mt., also nine grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also pre-deceased by a daughter, Kathleen Johnson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am on Monday Dec. 26, 2004 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Paul Scalia will officiate. Burial will be at the Virginia Veteran's Cemetery in Amelia, Va. at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends at Laurel Hill Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm. Sunday Dec. 26 and where a Rosary Service will be conducted at 7:00 pm.
