J. Donald Sproul, 90, died Tuesday October 11, 2011 at the Carriage Hill Health and Rehab in Fredericksburg. He was the son of the late James Arthur and Grace Ellen Meade Sproul. Mr. Sproul was born August 6, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA.
Survivors include his wife Muriel Crowther Sproul of Fredericksburg, three sons, Robert B. Sproul and his wife Penny of Narvon, PA, Brian K. Sproul and his wife Jacqui of Westchester, PA and Barry C and his friend Sylvia. There are five grandchildren.
Mr. Sproul was retired from A.H. Wirz where he was the Personnel Manager. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the Marine Corps. He was also active in the Rotary Club as long as his health permitted.
Memorial services will be held at St. George Episcopal Church in Fredericksburg in Friday October 14, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are being handled by Laurel Hill Funeral Home in Spotsylvania, VA. On-line condolences can be made at www.laurelhillfuneralhome.com.
