James Taswell Gayle, 65, of Locust Grove, Va passed away Monday Feb. 3, 2014 at Carriage Hill Health and Rehab Ctr. Fredericksburg, VA.
James was born on August 11, 1948 in Richmond, Va. to Oscar Jordan and Edna Molly (Gayle) Croft. He worked as a shop helper in automobile shops.
James lived in Spotsylvania and Louisa counties, to be near his only sister, Martha.
Survivors include: 2 brothers, John Gayle; Oscar Jordan "OJ" and his wife Linda Gayle and his sister Martha and her husband Bill Blessing; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. James was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Robert Gayle.
Visitation will be held on Saturday Feb. 8, 2014 from 10 am to 12 noon, at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, with funeral services beginning at 12 noon, with Pastor Barbara Gross offiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park, Spotsylvania, Va.
