James "Jim" Robert Strait, 67, US Navy CPO, retd, of Williamsburg, VA passed away at Locust Grove on Sunday, April 16, 2017. Jim was born on June 3, 1949 in San Diego, CA to Roy Mace and Marguarite Helen (Currey) Strait. He married Maryan Ofciarick who preceded him in death in July 2000. He retired from the US Navy on February 28, 1993 as a Chief Petty Officer, after 20 years. Jim was an active member of Masonic Lodge, serving as Past Master of the Henrico Lodge #130. He was also in The Order of the Eastern Star. Jim was the current Worthy Patron of Calvin A. Loid chapter #81, and was Past Worthy Patron of Fredericksburg chapter #29. Jim spent time with many of his military friends while enjoying the outdoors and hunting. Survivors include, his son: William Robert Strait; two daughters; Felicia Dawn Edgcombe and Jennifer Ann Brown; five grandchildren; Christopher and Dominic Bowles, Katlynn and Jacy Brown and Allison Strait. Memorial services will be held on June 3, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at the Fredericksburg Masonic Lodge #4
