James Francis Nolan, 76, of Lake of the Woods, VA formerly of Bethesda, MD, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, VA
Mr. Nolan was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran and a graduate of Georgetown University and Georgetown University Law School. He was a corporate tax lawyer working for the Internal Revenue Service; Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy in Washington DC and retired from Coopers and Lybrand in Washington, DC. He was also a co-author of the book "Federal Income Taxation Of Individuals". He also belonged to tax organizations in the Washington, DC area. He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Fredericksburg.
He is survived by his wife Mary Reilly Nolan, his two sons, James Reilly Nolan and his wife, Jan, of Grapevine, TX and Brian Thomas Nolan, of Poolesville, MD; his daughter, Mary Nolan Hedrick and her husband, Michael of Richmond; his grandchildren, Matthew Hedrick, Meredith Hedrick, Tyler Nolan and Reilly Nolan; also his sister Kathleen Nolan Dollymore, of Calverton, MD.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday March 27, 2007 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Monday at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania. A Christian Wake Service will be held that evening at 7:00 PM. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
