Jean Marie Alvarez, 55 of Manassas, died Monday, October 26, 2009, at her residence.
Born in Finland, she was the daughter of Alan and the late Irma Kerr.
Mrs. Alvarez loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and was an avid collector of Tinkerbell.
In addition to her mother, who passed away September 30, 2009, Mrs. Alvarez was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Marie Fuller-Dietz, and two brothers, Jim and John Kerr.
She is survived by her husband, Nestor Alvarez of Manassas; daughter, Wendy Marie Fuller-Edenton and her husband Troy Edenton; two grandchildren, Robert Edenton and Corinne Marie-Kerr Edenton, all of Spotsylvania; and her father, Alan Kerr of Vienna.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30am Friday, October 30, 2009 in the chapel of Laurel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Amos Healy officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00-11:30am, prior to the service.
