Obituary

On Thursday, October 7, 2021, after a courageous year and a half long battle against head and neck cancer, Jeffrey "Jeff" Scott, 48 of Spotsylvania entered his eternal home.
Jeff was employed by Coleman Motor Company as a tow truck operator. He thought the world of his Coleman's family and made lifetime friendships with not only the staff but also the customers.
Jeff loved riding his Harley Davidson Road King, bow hunting, fishing, camping in the mountains and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered by many for his kind heart, compassion and his ability to make any stranger a friend. Jeff would have gladly given the shirt off of his back to help someone in need.
Jeff was the "adopted" Dad to so many of his children's friends. He never shied away from lending a hand to all of his "sons" when they needed help with their cars, needed advice or just needed to talk. He protected his "daughters" and they knew if they ever needed anything he would be right there for them.
Jeff never fit any role better in his life than his role as a PaPa to his granddaughter Daisy. He was so proud of her and he would have gone to the ends of the earth to make her happy. He spent countless hours during his illness just holding her in his lap and watching her shows with her. He eventually became too ill to hold her but she always stayed near her PaPa and made sure he always had what he needed.
Left broken-hearted to carry on his memory are his wife of 27 years, Jennifer "Jennie" Scott; son Dustin Scott (Hailey); daughter Makayla Scott; granddaughter Daisy Scott; father James Scott; brother Ronald "Ronnie" Scott; sister Dianna Wimpling (Stuart) and his best friend and cousin George Huff. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and brother and sister-in-laws.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Peggy Scott and sister-in-law Mylinda Scott.
A graveside service and interment will be held at Laurel Hill Memorial Park on Tuesday, October 19 @ 1:00 PM. Please assemble by the grave by 12:50 PM
The family has requested in honor of Jeff's love for the towing community and his motorcycle family, please drive your tow trucks, motorcycles, and muscle cars for his final farewell.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Whitehurst and the staff of Hematology and Oncology of Fredericksburg, Dr. Chinault and the staff at Mary Washington Healthcare Radiation Oncology, Dr. Feddder and her staff at University of Virginia and his hospice nurses with Capital Caring, Hannah and Gina and his hospice nurse with Amedisys, Virginia.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in Jeff's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital
