Obituary

Jesse William Lawson, age 92, of Fredericksburg, passed away Monday April 25, 2011 at the Hughes Home.
He was retired upon completing 38 years of service with the Federal Government, employed in the Administration Services of the Department of Defense in offices in Pennsylvania, New York and at Cameron Station in Alexandria, Virginia. He served in the US Army (Infantry) in the Pacific Theaters in WWII and retired from the US Army Reserve upon completing 20 years of service. He was awarded a Combat Infantry Badge, two Bronze Star Medals, two Unit Citations and the Army Reserve Medal.
He was also a member of Lake of the Woods Church, a 50 year-life member of Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge No. 155, Philadelphia, PA, Scottish Rite, Alexandria, VA, Araba Shrine Temple, Ft. Meyers, FL the LOW/Culpeper Shrine Club LOW; NARFE and AARP.
Mr. Lawson is survived by his beloved wife, Doris Marie Lawson, his son Bruce W. Lawson of CA, his daughter, Jean Lawson Sautoro, of Downington, PA; three step daughters, Suzanna, Shirley and Deborah; two grand children and three step-grand children and one great-grandchild.
Graveside Services will be private.
