Memorial Service
Jill Anne Fetterolf (also known as Cora Jill) of Fredericksburg, VA, (80) went into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ March 10th at home surrounded by her loving husband, David, and both daughters, Stacey and Marcey.
She was born July 24th, 1945, in Stony Brook, New York, to William and Geraldine Fuhrmann. She met the love of her life at the age of 17 while in college at East Stroudsburg University and married him February 19th, 1966. They shared an incredible 60 years of marriage, enjoying every moment spent together. She loved being a wife and mother and was actively involved in every aspect of each of their lives. Creating a beautiful home, cooking fabulous meals, entertaining, gardening, relaxing on the beach, and exploring with her husband, were just a few of her favorite pass times she loved. She looked forward to the family's annual vacation to St. John USVI and weekly trips in the summertime to the beach house, where incredible memories were made.
She was actively involved in the ministry, Christian Counseling and Training Center (CCTC), where she graduated from their 5 year program with a certificate in Christian Counseling in 1998. After which she served on the Board of Directors as President and ministered to many through Biblical counseling for over 25 years.
She was a tremendous prayer warrior. If she told you she would be praying for you, you could count on it that she was. She was an avid tennis player and looked forward each week to playing tennis with her "T-buds" for nearly 35 years. Her husband and she together were the leaders of a Bible study (the care group) where they met together weekly, for about 35 years. Each time she was with each of these groups they shared prayer requests with one another and prayed together. During the week in between, her husband and she prayed together each night before bed.
She was an amazing woman, wife and mother, a blessing to many, and will be incredibly missed.
A memorial service will be held March 20th at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Laurel Hill Funeral Home in Spotsylvania, VA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Jill to:
CCTC, 2510 Professional Rd, Suite C, North Chesterfield, VA, 23235 or via their website at https://www.cctcinc.org.
