JoAnn H. Kidd is safely resting in the arms of God. She passed away Monday December 11, 2023 after a long battle with dementia. She was born April 27, 1945 in Alexandria, V.A. to Joseph and Ethel Allen.

She married her high school sweetheart on July 2, 1962 and they raised four beautiful daughters together. JoAnn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

JoAnn is survived by her daughters Sharon Shallcross (Jeff), Bobbi Jo Sexton, and Ginger Hall (George); grandchildren Crystal Utterback (Terry), Gary Sexton, Amanda O'Connor (Brandon), Brittani James (Chris), Amber Barrett (Chris); eleven great-grandchildren; and brother Ricky Kidd Sr.

In addition to her parents she is proceeded in death by her husband Thomas J. Kidd, her daughter Joanie M. Kidd, brothers Wayne Allen, Joseph Allen, and Gilbert Kidd, and many other loved ones that were special throughout her life.

A memorial and burial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on December 22, 2023 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park located at 10127 Plank Rd, Spotsylvania,  VA 22553. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
