John Garrett Elsey, Jr, 46 of Partlow, died Monday, April 20, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in Fairfax, he was the son of the late John, Sr. and Ruby Taylor Elsey.
Mr. Elsey was well known around the Fredericksburg area and was self employed as a contractor. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cared about others more than himself, and always put his family first.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Dorothy Elsey; his children, Jay Elsey, Laura Johnson and her husband Gene, Garrett Elsey and his wife Tricia, and Sarah Elsey; grandchildren, Jonathan, Alyssa, Jasmin, Austin, and JR; father and mother in law, Donald and Jerri Turner; and numerous extended family members and friends.
A graveside service and interment will be conducted today, Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Wallers Baptist Church Cemetery in Partlow.
