John J. Lacey, (age 91) of Locust Grove, VA died peacefully at Sunrise at Fair Oaks in Fairfax, Virginia. Loving father of

Edward Lacey; grandfather of Kevin and Ryan Lacey; great-grandfather of, John Patrick, Livia, and Declan Lacey; brother of Joan Salerno, Eileen Carbone, Patricia Lacey; and many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary Lacey; wife, Rina Lacey; brothers, Edward and Frank Lacey; sisters, Mary Lacey, and Cecelia Boyle.

John was a graduate of St. John's University. He was a Cost Analyst with Grumman Aerospace where he worked on the Apollo Lunar Landing Spacecraft, among other programs. John was a 67 year member (4th Degree) of the Knights of Columbus, and held a host of offices including those of Grand Knight and District Deputy. He also served with distinction in the New York State Guard as a Major of Artillery.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 9149 Ely's Ford Rd., Fredericksburg, VA on Tuesday, January 19th at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
