Obituary

John Michael Purcell Sr., 85, of Locust Grove, formerly of Ramsey, NJ, passed away Friday, August 12, 2005 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
Mr. Purcell was a graduate of Seton Hall University, a WWII US Army Veteran, a retired financial comptroller for Springs Mills in New York, NY, a member of the Lake of the Woods Lions Club and a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Spotsylvania.
He was the husband of the late Helen Lovelick Purcell and is survived by his son, John M. Purcell, Jr. and his wife Bobbie of Montclair, VA, his daughter, Ellen Purcell Brown and her husband, David of New Rochelle, NY, his two grandchildren; Justin Brown and Kelly Brown Ginsberg and her husband Dave, his two great-grandchildren; Sarah and Jack Ginsberg, Lilo Kinney and his cousin Mary Wagner.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday August 14, 2005 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania with a wake service at 7:00 pm. A Mass of resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 am Monday August 15, 2005 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Spotsylvania. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
