John's favorite things were to take family visiting across the Staten Island ferry into Manhattan to visit the Empire State Buildings, World Trade Center, the Sea port, Natural Museum of History and various other Sites.

He most enjoyed having large groups of his family into his home in Manalapan New Jersey. It was very common to have a houseful of 32 or more People in his home long weekends.

We know not one man having anything against John; for he was a very honest, intelligent, respectful, generous and loving person with his fellow man and family.

John saw the world for all it's beauty and absurdity, and shared his views with a particularly dry sense of humor that everyone that knew him were both amazed and enjoyed by.

Our Family would like to an additional thank you and appreciation for all the help and support given so generously over these past many months by: The ladies and staff of Prayers and Squares of Tabernacle, United Methodists Church of Fredericksburg VA. The staff and caregivers of Hospice of Piedmont, the Lake of the Woods Church and community and all private caregivers.

Our family would like to give a special thanks to Janet and Kirt Teates for all there care, work and love.

Lastly, we would like to give a loving thanks to all our family and friends over the many years
