Kathern Virginia Frantz, age 79 of Spotsylvania died Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in Tazwell, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Roy and Minnie Alley Ruble.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sgt. Emery C. Frantz.
Survivors include her children, Betty Schultz, Virginia Culley, Patty Grimsley, Carl Jackson Frantz, David Ray Frantz, Connie Sue Crowder, Tommy Joe Frantz, and Peggy Lynn Squires; grandchildren, Jeff, Angie, Chris, Lori, Kevin, Stacy, Rhonda, Justin, Jeremy, Tiffany, Katie, Kristi, Derek, Brandon, and Jennifer; 11 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family members.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30pm Saturday, March 14, 2009 in the chapel of Laurel Hill Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
Kathern and her family are in the care of Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Road, Spotsylvania.
