Kathryn Elizabeth (Harper) Moffatt, 90, formerly of Locust Grove, VA passed away in Winchester, VA on Friday, February 26, 2016. She was born on September 5, 1925 to Charles Francis "Frank" and Anna Elizabeth (O'Meara) Harper in Washington, D.C.
After graduation, Kathryn continued her education, becoming a Nurse. She married John Thomas Moffatt, her childhood sweetheart, on June 6, 1946, in celebration of VE Day, and his safe return from war. They lived in the Washington, D.C. area, where Kathryn volunteered at St. Michaels Catholic Church. After Johns retirement, they moved to Lake of the Woods, Locust Grove, Va. in 1979.
Survivors include; her son, Gary F. Moffatt (Patricia), three grandchildren; Randi McConnell, Jennifer Moffatt, Kimberly Moffatt; nephew, Bill Duryee, two nieces; Nany Dejerf, Barbara Dryseale and three great grandchildren.
