Obituary

Katie Lee Cooper, 77, of Stafford, loving mother and grandmother, departed this earthly home to be with her Lord on Friday, September 7, 2007 at Mary Washington Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Cooper was a member of the former Calvary Baptist Church in White Oak.
She is survived by her son George L. Hatch and his wife, Laura of Stafford; her two daughters Mary Jane McCary and her husband Dan of Stafford and Patricia Wood and her husband Rick of Coulee Dam WA.; her three grandchildren, David Hatch and his wife Laura, Kristen Hatch and Richard Sullivan; and also her great-grandson Adam Hatch and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her close friends Jim and Lois Woody of Fredericksburg.
A funeral will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday September 15, 2007at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania. Rev. Michael Raphael and Rev. Clyde Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday , September 14, 2007 and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
