Kay A. Gaumer Williams passed away Tuesday, January 9th at Mary Washington Hospital. She was born on April 6, 1930 in Washington, D.C. to the late Bertram and Catherine Beer Kaslar and preceded in death by her husbands Chester Gaumer and Joseph Williams, brothers George Kaslar and Bert Kaslar, Jr. and a grandson Bobby Gaumer.
She is survived by her children; Gary Gaumer and his wife Sue of Fredericksburg, Mike Gaumer and his wife Barbara of Woodford, Bruce Gaumer and his wife Shirley of Ruther Glen, Barry Gaumer of North Carolina, Kathryn of Virginia and Abby Garrison of South Carolina and a step-son, Art Williams and his wife Pat of Winston Salem, NC. She also leaves behind two brothers; John and Bill Kaslar of California and her sister; Joyce Watson and her husband Al of Virginia, thirtheen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great-neices and nephews. Many dear friends here and in North Carolina will miss her as well. She was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church in Phelam, NC for many years.
Visitation and viewing will take place Jan 12, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 13 at 11:00 AM the Laurel Hill Funeral Home with interment to follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park. On line condolences can be made at www.laurelhillfuneralhome.com.
