Khalid Khadduri, age 74 of Spotsylvania, went Home Thursday morning, November 13, 2008.
Born in 1934 in Mosul, Iraq, Kahlid came to this country in 1959 as a transfer student from Middle East College in Beirut, Lebanon. After graduating from the University of Maryland with a Masters Degree in Business Management, he served as assistant administrator at Tidewater Memorial Hospital in Tappahannock, VA. In 1970, he started a three year teaching position in Eastern Montana College. After that, he and the family moved back to Virginia where he started and ran a successful real estate business.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marilyn Kulynych Khadduri; 3 sons, Majid Dulayle Khadduri, Daniel Khouri Khadduri, and David Faris Khadduri; and one sister, Khyria Askar, San Diego, California.
Kahlid was a very gracious and generous person, and a most loving husband and father. He will be sorely missed.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00pm Monday, November 17, 2008 in the chapel of Laurel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Clinton Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 - 2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
