Larry Dillard passed away on August 25 at the age of 69 after a hard-fought and courageous battle with gastric cancer.

Nine years ago, Larry received a lung transplant and successfully overcame his lung disease, going on to live phenomenally. Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine that cancer would take him from us so quickly.

Larry is survived by his wife, Karen; his two daughters, Stephanie Cairns (Scott) and Kara Cairns (Mark); his grandchildren, Hunter Cairns (Callie Cairns), Lexy Cairns (Mason Christopher), Lyla Cairns, and Leah Cairns; his sisters, Susan Lockard and Teresa Carroll (Corky); and his mother, Dot Dillard.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Dillard, and his brother, Dwain Dillard.

Larry was incredibly proud of his family and loved deeply. He was a hard worker who enjoyed home projects, spending time outdoors, riding around and sightseeing, watching football, and hosting cookouts. His courage, loving heart, and devotion to his family will be remembered and cherished always.
