Larry Gordon Proffitt of Fredericksburg, VA passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022. He was born on December 7, 1946 in Arlington, VA to the late Wilbert and Margaret Proffitt . He retired as a painter for the federal government.

Peggy Lane (Jenkins) Proffitt of Fredericksburg, VA passed away January 12, 2022. She was born on June 21, 1945 in Fredericksburg, VA to the late Richard and Frances Jenkins . She retired as an editorial assistant for the federal government.

They are survived by 5 children, Ken McGinniss (Alice), Lisa Hagen (David), Angie Mosley (Dennis), Robin Vernon (Adam) and Teresa Pace, 10 grandkids, Jason, Tiffany, Hunter, Remington, Schuyler, Matthew, Luke, Noah, Autumn, and Gabriel, and 7 great grandkids. Peggy and Larry were members of Zoan Baptist church and loved their church family. They just celebrated 39 years of marriage this past month. Larry and Peggy loved each other very much. They were inseparable and went every where together including now to their eternal home.

Relatives and friends are invited to Larry and Peggy's visitation at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Rd., Spotsylvania, VA., on Friday, January 21, from 10 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12 PM. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zoan Baptist Church Fund, 5888 Plank Rd Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
