Lee Roy Lubore, 86, of Locust Grove passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at Dogwood Village of Orange County.
Lee was born on Dec. 10, 1927 to Jacob and Bessie (Stein) Lubore in Baltimore, MD.
He served in the US Army from Nov, 1950 to Nov. 1952 earning the Army of Occupation Medal (Germany). Lee worked for the White House Police Force until the late 1960's, after 12 years of service. He and his family moved to the Locust Grove area in 1968, where he was a founding member of the Lake of the Woods Fire Department. He enjoyed ship model building and found special joy in care for his yard.
Lee married Lana Gail Fields in June 1972 at Spotsylvania and she survives.
Other survivors include, 2 sons: Jack Lubore (Karen), David Lubore (Linna); 1 dau: Carla Kline (Ken); 1 sister-in-law; Patricia Holbrook; and 3 grandchildren; Justin and Tyler Lubore, and Austin Marquardt (Matthew).
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013 at 11 a.m., at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, with entombment in Laurel Hill Memorial Park, Spotsylvania, VA.
