Lester Eugene Christman = "Gene"/"Chris", a devoted husband, loving Dad, proud Papa and Great-Papa - "Pop-Pop" and cherished brother and friend was called home on Tuesday, September 16th.

Born in Ohio in 1945, Lester honorably served his country as a U.S. Army Soldier, completing two tours in Vietnam with courage and dedication. Lester was also a volunteer fireman for many years in Spotsylvania, Virginia.

Lester was married to the love of his life, Mary Jo - "Jo-Jo" - for 56 years. He recently celebrated 60 years of devoted love this past June with family and friends. Their bond was an enduring example of love and partnership.

Lester is survived by his children: Tina (Scott), Tim (Mischelle), Tami (Packy); his grandkids: Shae (Tony), Tanya (Donnie), Bessie (Wes), Ashley (DJ), Katie (Kyle), Garrett, Keith, Christian (Peyton); and his great-grandkids: Madison, Kasie, Austin, Ethan, Hailee, Lainey, Carson, Ivan, Dale, Reagan, and Isaiah. Also survived by his sisters Mae Guthrie and Martha Wilks, and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by parents Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Christman, his beloved wife Mary Jo -"Jo-Jo" - 4 brothers, 3 sisters, several nieces and nephews, and his loyal dog, Margarita.

Lester had a lifelong love for sports and was active in many leagues throughout the years, including softball and bowling. In his later years, scratch-off lottery tickets became his 'sport' of choice.

He will be remembered for his warm heart, his dedication to family and his sense of humor. His legacy lives on in the lives of all who loved him.
