Lewis C. Frogale, Sr., 92, of Fredericksburg, departed this life on Thursday February 2, 2017 at Carriage Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Lewis was born on October 31, 1924 to Lewis Roy and Ascencion Frogale in Bronx, NY.
He married Mable Helen Mattox and she preceded him in death in 2002. Lewis retired as a baker, serving as owner and later working with the local union in bakeries in Northern Virginia. He was a lifetime member of the BPO Elks #875 and #2188. He enjoyed the camaraderie of his Elks brothers and sisters and the many dances and annual celebrations, he and his family attended. Lewis was also a life long Redskins fan and enjoyed watching the Washington Nationals. He looked forward to each spring-time, when he could get outside to plant his vegetable garden of tomatoes and cucumbers. He never met a flower that he didn't like. Survivors include; his son, Lewis C. Frogale, Jr. (Charlotte); daughters, Cathy M. Lee (Gary) and Debra L. West; son-in-law, William H Robbins; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Lewis was also preceded in death by his daughter Barbara A. Robbins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 11, 2017 at 12 noon in the Laurel Hill Funeral Home Chapel, with family receiving friends one hour before. Entombment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
