Lewis Marcellos Meador, Jr., 83, of Locust Grove, VA passed away at his home on Thursday, January 31, 2019, with his loving family by his side. Lewis was born on February 23, 1935 in Alexandria, VA to Lewis M. and Gladys A. (Figgatt) Meador. He served in the US Air Force as part of the Strategic Air Command, where he learned electronic and radar systems. This training launched his career in computers and systems analysis leading to his position as Vice President of NCR Comten. His hobbies included playing golf and woodworking. He created many wonderful things for his home and family. Lewis is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nellie Jean Tabor. He is also survived by three daughters, Doris Jones (James "Butch"), Sharon Kotchetovsky (Scott), Sue Yenyo (Alex); two sisters Marcella Schelhammer and Marvis Maffeo (Tom); seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Lewis was predeceased by his son, Clark and his grandson, Scott. Internment services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made Capital Care Hospice or to your local hospice provider.
