Lisa Doney, 59, formerly of Springfield, VA passed away at her home in Dallas, TX on Sunday, December 9, 2018.  Lisa was born to Robert Lamar and Louise Virginia (Owens) Doney in the Panama Canal Zone while her father was on active duty with the US Army.  She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield with the class of 1977.  After high school, Lisa worked as a model winning several titles before beginning a career in sales and marketing with radio stations and real estate. In the last 20 years her career was in public relations and marketing for several prominent home builders in Dallas. She had a great love for animals and during some of her sales events she teamed with the SPCA of Dallas making pet adoptions available at the grand openings of new subdivisions.   Survivors include her brother, Robert L. Doney, Jr. of Locust Grove, VA, three sisters, Rita Bettis of Lawrenceville, GA, Ronda Doney of Lawrenceville, GA, and Ruane Langton (John) of Tracy's Landing, MD; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  Memorial services will be held at Laurel Hill Funeral Home in Spotsylvania, VA on Saturday January 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be made at laurelhillfuneralhome.com .
