Loretta Ann Taylor, 77, of Spotsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. Loretta was born on June 30, 1943, in Washington D.C. to Essie and Etta Stewart. She married Foster Gene Taylor on June 7, 1963, in Alexandria, VA and was his beloved wife for 50 years. Loretta was a homemaker, loving wife, and devoted mother and grandmother. She and Gene came to the Fredericksburg area in 1976 and joined Faith Baptist Church in 1980. She remained a faithful member for over 40 years until her death. Survivors include: daughter, Sheila (Gary) Miller; son, Aaron (Lisa) Taylor; grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, and Riley Miller; and many loving friends. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 11, from 6-8 pm at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Rd., Spotsylvania, VA. A funeral service will be Wednesday, May 12, at 10 am with Dr. Don Forrester and Pastor Kurt Skelly officiating at the Faith Baptist Church, 4105 Plank Rd., Fredericksburg, VA. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriners Children's Hospital.
