Obituary

Louise Baran, 85,of Lake of the Woods, Locust Grove, VA, passed away Tuesday, June 5th, 2005 at her home.
Mrs. Baran was born in Minneapolis MN; moved to Washington, DC in 1968; and was a resident of Lake of the Woods (Locust Grove, VA) since 1988. She was a Red Cross Volunteer, always an active church volunteer and a life member PEO. Remembered for her sense of humor, Louise was an avid bridge player; keen-eyed antique collector who loved to travel and loved being with people. She enjoyed being outdoors as well as being in the presence of music, theater and the arts. Above all, Louise was known as a loving mother, and as a caring friend.
Mrs. Baran is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edward S. Baran, her daughter Penny Durenberger of Naples FL and Cody WY, her son Edward M. Baran of Somers, NY, her four grandsons, Charles Durenberger of Mendota Heights, MN, David Durenberger of Excelsior, MN, Michael Durenberger of Greenville, NC and Daniel Durenberger of Louisville, KY.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:30 am Friday July 8th , 2005 at Lake of the Woods Church. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis MN.
