LOUISE G. SHACKELFORD
Louise Mae Garrison Shackelford, 74, of Stafford County, died Monday June 13, 2005 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Lewis and Delilah Shackelford of Fredericksburg.
Born in Stafford Country, Virginia on September 8, 1930, she was a homemaker with many talents from knitting to crocheting beautiful pieces. She worked alongside her husband, the late Mervin L. Shackelford, Sr. for several years running a turkey shoot. Mrs. Shackelford was the owner/operator of a long-running family business, Shackelford's Used Auto and Parts for over 35 years.
Mrs. Shackelford was predeceased by her husband, Mervin L. Shackelford, Sr., and by her mother and father, Edith and Mercer Garrison. She is survived by two brothers: Richard and Spencer Garrison both of Stafford, as well as two sons, M. Lewis Shackelford Jr. and his wife Delilah of Fredericksburg and Gordon Shackelford and his wife Susan of Hartwood. She is also survived by her dearest and most loved best friend Lucille Ferguson of Stafford, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
