Lucille "Lucy" Marie Kearns, 64, of Fredericksburg, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday March 12, 2019, with her family at her bedside.  Lucy was born on October 8, 1954 to Sibby Paul and Ruby (Gaspard) Ducote in New Orleans, LA.  She married Paul Monroe Kearns on July 29, 1972 in Waggaman, LA celebrating over 47 years together.  Lucy was a Catholic by faith and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fredericksburg since 1986.  Survivors include her husband, Paul; two sons, Michael (Christine) and Chad (Monica); sister, Diana Gelinas (Ed); and nine grandchildren, Michael II, (Chelsea), Arielle, Destiny, Shane, Tim, Tonie (Trevor), Jase, Arayna and Colson.  Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Sylvia Bates.  Visitation will be held on Sunday March 17, 2019 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home from 4 pm to 6 pm, and funeral mass held on Monday March 18, 2019 beginning at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to St. Jude Childrens Hospital at stude.org
