Pfc. Luke Joshua Brown passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Fort Bragg, N.C. He was 27 years old.
Luke joined the Army in January 2007, and was stationed at Fort Bragg with the 82nd Airborne, following his completion of jump school in January 2008. He took great pride in serving his country and being a paratrooper.
Luke received the Global War on Terror Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and the Parachutist Badge during his short time in the military. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout while a member of the Boy Scouts of America.
Luke is survived by his parents, Bradley and Lucy Brown; his four brothers, Paul, Mark, Adam and Jason; and his sister, Michelle. He also leaves a niece, Maya, and a nephew, Matthew. He was dearly loved by all those he has left.
There will be a viewing on Friday, July 25, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel on Bragg Road at 9 a.m. Services will follow at 10 a.m. Luke will be buried near his grandfather in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
