Mae Elaine Monteith "Cootchie", was born on January 1, 1949 in Fredericksburg, Virginia to Lois and John Monteith.  She is preceded in death by mother, father, one brother Glenn Monteith, one sister Darlene Monteith, and brother in law Alan Stanfield.  She is survived by her sister Jeannie Stanfield, two brothers John and wife Kimberly Monteith, Kevin and wife Karen Monteith, two daughters Stephanie Breeden-Griffin and husband John Griffin, Marsha and husband Daniel Himes, and one son Aaron Brown. She was known as Mamaw by her four grand-daughters Erin and Bethany Wood, Cheyenne and husband Darrell Sheridan, and Mckenna Brown, five grandsons Jake and Colten Breeden, Cameron and Kyle Himes, and Ethan Brown.  Also, six great-grandchildren, Riley, Peyton, Mikah, Jett, Luke, and Emersyn.

A graveside service will be held at Laurel Hill Memorial Park, 10127 Plank Rd., Spotsylvania, VA on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 10 AM. Please meet at graveside by 9:50 AM. Everyone who attends must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Flowers can be sent to the Funeral Home and the funeral home will place the flowers at the graveside.
