Makayla Nicole, Carter, 7, of Spotsylvania passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014.
Makayla was born on May 19, 2007 to Deaundrey Lamar Carter and Ashli Nicole Eckler.
She was a student at Brock Road Elementary School.
Survivors include: her parents Ashli and Deaundrey; maternal grandmother, Dana Eckler; maternal grandfather; Tom Eckler (Tammy McPeak); paternal grandmother Barbara Carter; paternal grandfather, Joe Carter, Sr.(Thelma); maternal great grandmother; Betty Ginn,; paternal great grandmother, Geraldine Carter; Uncles Cory Eckler (Kierstin Brooks), Bob Eckler (Leeanne Kratzer), Travis Mallory and Joe Carter, Jr. (Brittany); aunts; Ruby Carter, Nadi Carter, Stacey Mallory and Monnie Carter; great aunt, Debbie Ginn, great uncle Jack Ginn (Brenda) and cousins Kyleigh and Kenzie Eckler, Brad and Emily Ginn, Andrew and Matthew McCoy.
Visitation will be on Wed. July 9, 2014 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, fro 6 to 8 pm.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the chapel, with interment in Laurel Hill Memorial Park
