Marcio Gutierrez, 65, of Locust Grove, VA, passed away at his home, with his family at his side, on Sat. June 21, 2014. Marcio was born on Feb. 24, 1949 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras to Luis Alonzo and Maria Otilia (Barrentos) Gutierrez. He received his education including college in Honduras, before coming to the United States. Marcio was a production manager for Clean & Polish Building Solutions in Rockville, MD for over 9 years, before retiring. He married Terese Ann Gregory and they made their home in Locust Grove, VA 2 years ago.

His family wrote: "Marcio's compassion for others and his big smile brought joy to everyone."

Survivors include; his wife Terese; 1 son Marcio Enrique Gutierrez; 1 step-son, Nathan Daniel Ramirez; 2 step-dau. Christa Aleece Ramirez, Cynthia Leigh Wilkerson; 2 brothers, Rolando Gutierrez, Carlos Javier Duron; 1 sister Rosa Maria Aleman and 1 grandson Jake Andrew Ramirez.

Marcio was preceded in death by his parents, 1 bro.; Fernando and 1 sister, Gloria Esperanza.

Visitation will be Sat. June 28, 2014 from 11 am to 1 pm, with funeral services at 1 pm, at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, Va.
