Margot Lawton, 70, of Spotsylvania died Saturday, May 15, 2004. Born in Detroit, she graduated from the University of Hawaii. Her intrest and talent were in the fine arts. She had previously owned an Interior Design business. Mrs. Lawton was a member of Wilderness Community Church. She and her husband retired to Spotsylvania in 1997. Survivors include her hasvand, Ralph Lawton, her sister, Nancy Cagle, three sons, Bruce Lawton of Round Hill, Va., Peter Lawton of Beaufort, SC., and J. Grant Lawton of Hockessin, De. Her daughter Sue Ellen, resides in Floyd, Va. There are four grandchildren, Grant Adam, Rosemary, Ralph Ignatio and Gaea. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday night from 7:00 to 8:30 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at the Wilderness Community Church on Friday the 21st of May at 11:00. Burial will follow at the Laurel Hill Memorial Park. Rev. Keith Boyette will conduct the service. There will be a reception at the church following.
