Marie May Jones, 76, of Spotsylvania County passed away Monday July 4, 2011, at the Louisa Health Care and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
Marie was born on Aug. 30, 1934, in Manassas, the daughter of the late William Tullass and Eunice Swarts Davis. She was employed by Mutual of Omaha as a new- business secretary for 38 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of Manassas, which she loved dearly. She was a dedicated family woman and a friend to all.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Fox and her husband, Tommy; two grandchildren, Dawn Hart and Danielle Fox; two great-grandchildren, Nathan Simmerman and Jaiden Landrum; Richard Conard, who was like a son; brother James Davis; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son Gerald Aubrey, and brother Carroll Davis.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, July 8, at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania. The Rev. Amos Healy will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
