Marion Josephine (Rollins) Toombs, 87, of Spotsylvania passed away on Sat. July 13, 2013 at Carriage Hill Rehab/Nursing Center.

For 10 years, Mrs. Toombs served the children of Spotsylvania as a school bus driver. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, she enjoyed working for many local families. She was "Nannie to the World", whether helping with grandchildren, foster grandchildren or whomever. Josephine was a member of Goshen Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children: Charlotte Gaquerel (Walter) and Donna Ehlers (Clayton) all of Spotsylvania; David Ray Toombs (Pat) of Texas and Charles "Lennie" Toombs (Geraldine) of Spotsylvania; her sister: Betty Deanna Payne Bradley of Stafford; brother, Robert "Bobby" Powell (Evanna) of PA, her daughter-in-law Joy Toombs of Spotsylvania; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Toombs; son, Delma "Butch" Toombs; parents Frank Ashby Rollins and Elizabeth Long Rollins Powell; brothers Frank and Clifton Rollins and Lonnie "Junior" Powell.

Graveside services will be Wed. July 17, 2013 at 11:00 pm in Laurel Hill Memorial Park, and visitation for 1 hour prior at Laurel Hill Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spina Bifida Association, 4590 Mac Arthur Blvd. N.W. Washington, D.C. 20007.
