Marjorie Arlene Brown, 70, of Spotsylvania County passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 18, 1941, in Alexandria, the daughter of the late William Charles and Renea Dodson. She was the widow of the late Gerald Leonard Brown Sr.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her son, Gerald Brown Jr. of Spotsylvania; her three daughters, Lil Harris and her husband, Donald, Charlotte Powell, and Carolyn Proffitt and her husband, Vivian Jr., all of Spotsylvania; her brother, Wilmer Dodson of Springfield; her sister, Dorothy Spears of Spotsylvania; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two expected great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania. The Rev. Jason Mueller will officiate. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at the funeral home.
