Mary Lou Arnold Cornell, 78 of Spotsylvania, formerly of Fairfax and Earlysville, VA, passed away Monday February 10, 2014 at Mary Washington Hospital. She was born February 20, 1935 in Washington DC to the late Joseph Talent and Katherine Williams Arnold. She grew up in Arlington VA, graduating from Washington & Lee in 1952.

She is survived by her husband, Lewis Luck Cornell of Spotsylvania, one son, Lewis Wayne Cornell and wife Ronda of Fredericksburg, two daughters, Linda Deane and husband Scotty of Fredericksburg, Cathy Kern and husband David of Alexandria, one sister, Diane Thomas and husband Buddy of Atlantic Beach, NC, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mary Lou was predeceased by one daughter, Leigh Ann Bennett.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home located at 10127 Plank Road Spotsylvania VA 22553 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
