Mary Carolyn (Pryor) Kitchens, 79, of Fredericksburg, passed away at her home, Monday May 5, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on March 18, 1935 in Dalton, GA to William Luther and Irene (Scruggs) Pryor. She married Talmadge L. Kitchens on August 31, 1949. They moved to the Fredericksburg are in 1982, coming from Woodbridge, VA. Mary was a homemaker and doll collector, having served as President of the Manassas Doll Club and also owning the only Doll Hospital during the time, where she repaired antique dolls.
Survivors include: 5 sons; Talmadge Leon "Jerry", Jr. (Teresita); David Michael (Loretta); Lloyd Ray (Katriina); Robert Vincent (Christy); Daniel Paul (Michelle) Kitchens; 3 Dau; Debra Lorraine Kitchens; Brenda Lee Hanna (Eddie); Rebecca Lynn Petriello (Matthew); 1 bro; Roger Pryor (Brenda); 1 sister: Diana Miller (Jim); 28 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers, 1 sister and 1 Granddaughter Mary Alizabeth Kitchens.
Funeral Services will be held Friday May 9, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 1710 Bragg Road, Fredericksburg, VA with Bishop Jay Nielsen officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
