Mary Liberati, 85, of Woodbridge, Va., passed away Friday, December 13, 2024.

Mary was born on January 9, 1939, in Camden, NJ, the daughter of the late Laura Mercoli and Alexander Spolitback Sr. She married her high school sweetheart Armando Liberati after graduating from Vineland High School in 1959, and they relocated to Northern Virginia to raise their family.

Mary was a homemaker and later worked as an administrator for a telecommunications company. She enjoyed reading, traveling, painting and craftwork. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoying a good joke. Her bright smile brought joy and warmth to all who knew her. Mary lived in the Fairfax area for more than 50 years before relocating to Lake Anna and later to Woodbridge.

Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years Armando Liberati, and is survived by her sons Mark Liberati (Tammy) of Fairfax and Thomas Liberati (Kelli) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and her daughter Laura Donnelly (Thomas) of Burke; six grandchildren, Nicholas Liberati, Zachary Liberati, Paul Donnelly, Julia Donnelly, Lyla Liberati and Kaylee Liberati; her brother Alexander Spolitback, Jr. (Eva) of Glassboro, NJ; sister-in-law Sestilia "Trudy" Bender of Oklahoma; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 27, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 9149 Elys Ford Road, Fredericksburg, Va. Entombment with immediate family will be at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to the American Heart Association.
