Maryse Madeline Regamey, 85 of Fredericksburg, departed her life on Monday, June 1, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born March 8, 1924 in Montpreveyres, Switzerland, she was the daughter of the late August and Rosalie Regamey.
Maryse was an avid reader and loved French poetry and afternoon teas. She was an admirer of the Paris Fashions, the Swiss Mountains, and walks along the Lake of Geneva. She enjoyed the French cuisine, great wine, and the company of friends.
Maryse later in years came to America to run the Watergate Boutique in Washington, D.C. She loved knitting, the beauty of nature, and the warm glow of sunsets.
She is survived by her son, Alan Passera and his wife Sandra; grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, and Ryan Passera, all of Fredericksburg; and a sister, Jacqueline Hancock of Annandale.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at 6:00pm at Laurel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Amos Healy officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 6:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home, and during a reception after the service.
