Maurice Fitzhugh Beazley, Jr. "Buddy", 81, of Lake of the Woods, Locust Grove, VA, passed away at UVA Medical Center on December, 12, 2014.
Buddy was born on December 28, 1932 to Maurice F. and Bessie Lee (Carlton) Beazley, in Washington DC. He graduated from Falls Church High School in 1951. In March 1953, Buddy joined the US Navy and served on active duty aboard the USS Charles D. Cecil until March 1957. Buddy worked as an Electronic Technician for NASA at Goddard Space Center for over 29 years. Upon retiring, he and his wife, Barbara, moved to the Lake of the Woods, where he was a member of the Lake of the Woods Church. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; daughter, Sandra Brunn (Gerald); grandsons, First Lieutenant Ryan Matthew Brunn, US Army, and David Andrew Brunn. Visitation will be on Wednesday Dec. 17, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. with funeral services on Thursday Dec. 18, 2014 at 10 a.m., at Laurel Hill Funeral Home. Interment will be at National Cemetery, Falls Church.
