The family of Mildred "Tudy" Trice mourns her passing on May 18, 2025.

Born Mildred Gertrude Good in Rye Cove, Virginia on March 31,1932. Tudy moved to Houston, Texas to study nursing at the University of Houston, specializing in radiology. In 1968 she relocated to Fredericksburg, VA with her beloved husband Dr. Jerry Trice M.D.

Preceded in death by her husband Jerry, she leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children Sharon Minniear and husband, Ed, of Fredericksburg, Dennis James McAughan of Richmond, Texas, Roger McAughan and wife, Colleen, of Aurora, CO and Jerry Trice II and wife, Nancy of Laurel, Maryland, her grandchildren Katie Minniear Drebbing and husband, Matthew, of Fredericksburg, Laura Minniear Light and husband, Rob of Fredericksburg, Ted Minniear of Fredericksburg and Elysa Mola of Laurel, MD, and her great grandchildren Raleigh Light, Caroline Drebing, Archie Light, Berkeley Drebing and Eddie Light of Fredericksburg.

Tudy was a dedicated, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a true animal lover. She never trusted anyone who didn't like animals but trusted animals that didn't like people. Embracing the frustrating and humbling sport of golf, she was an avid and state ranked golfer. Her creative nature led her to become an adventurous and talented cook. She never believed in any filler being added to her superlative crab cakes, and when in doubt, she would say "Just add more butter". Aesthetically she was ahead of her time whether it be crafting a costume, redecorating her home or gardening. She will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Richmond State Supported Living Center, 2100 Preston Street, Richmond,Texas 77469, in memory of Mildred Trice. The family invites friends to join them in celebrating her life on Tuesday, June 17th at the Fredericksburg Country Club, 11031 Tidewater Trail, Fredericksburg, VA. 22408 at 2pm.
