Myron Elton Beasley, 88 of Fredericksburg, died Monday, February 1, 2010, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in Washington, DC he was the son of the late Stephen and Marion Beasley.
Mr. Beasley was a WWII veteran, having served in the U.S. Army, and later retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He worked for many years as a pharmacist in Washington and in Maryland.
Mr. Beasley was an Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity brother and was actively invovled in the EPPO. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Washington, DC.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine.
He is survived by his wife, Gracie "GiGi" Beasley; two sons, Michael Beasley of California, and Stephen Beasley and his wife Julie of Fredericksburg; one daughter, Cheryl Cox of Baltimore; grandchildren, Gina Cox and Leslie Longware; one great grandchild, Andrea Longware; sister-in-law, Pearl Carpenter, and numerous other relatives and friends.
A funeral service and interment will be conducted at 9:00am Wednesday, March 3, 2010, in Arlington National Cemetery.
Mr. Beasley and his family are in the care of Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Road, Spotsylvania.
