Nancy Jo (Burmaster) Hause, 88, of Richmond, Virginia departed this life on November 5, 2024.  Nancy was the daughter of Jane Many Loiselle and Carl Frederick Burmaster.  She was preceded in death by both parents; her sister, Sandra Hopper of Chillicothe, Ohio; her daughter-in law, Melinda S. Hause of Palm Coast, Florida; her brother, Gary Burmaster of Land O'Lakes, Florida; her great-grand-daughter Aspen Jo Jayne Hause of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; and her son-in-law, Michael A. Southward, of Richmond, Virginia.

She is survived by a loving and devoted family of many, including her sister, Jane M. Stewart (Keith); her sister, Lisa Y. Willet (Jerry), and her sister-in-law, Karen Hunt; her children; Steven C. Snare (Pat); Michael T. Snare (Lisa); Leslie J. Snare; Kathryn S. Bailey; David L. Hause (Maria); Stacia A. Harper (Randy); Gary S. Hause (Christina); Melanie K. Hause; and Anine J. Conner (Lyle).  Nancy is also remembered fondly as "Noni" by 27 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Nancy was born in Lansing, Michigan and she grew up in Chillicothe, Ohio, where she attended Unioto High School.  She spent most of her adult life in Richmond, where she retired from Allstate Insurance as an agent. She then moved to Palm Coast, Florida and ultimately, back to Richmond.

Nancy had a very strong belief in holistic medication, which she attributed to her happy and healthy long life.

Her message to those who mourn her is, "I have a wonderful family who love one another and all of you seem to be on a path that suits you. I'm happy about that." She said the two mottos that got her this far are, "Live and let live and, "This too, shall pass."

Nancy's celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
