Obituary

Nancy Boswell Manning, also known as "Nan", lovingly known as Mom, Maw-maw, Maw, grandma, Ms Nan, Aunt Nan, "Frankie", and best friend, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, at age 74 surrounded by the love of her family.

Born, on February 8 ,1951, she grew up in a little white house in Boyds, Maryland.  She was united in marriage to, Harold Manning, on September 30, 1989. Together they built a life rooted in devotion, strength, and family. Nan had a devotion to God and the Pentecostal faith. Nan and Hal worshiped each Sunday with the Family Worship Center, and the Jimmy Swaggart Ministry. The SonLife Broadcasting Network, SBN.

Nan resided in King George, Virginia, where she raised her family and created memories that will be treasured forever. Nan was the heart of her family. Her greatest joy was her children, nephews/nieces, grandchildren, and the generations that followed. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and unconditional love. If someone came to visit her home, chances are that they would leave with a small gift whether it was a piece of cake, a jar of jelly, or some type of refreshment.

Nan is survived by her latest husband, Harold Manning and first husband, Richad Catterton. Nan has two children Kathleen Marie Cushman and Elizabeth Catterton Tate (Shaun Tate). Survived by four grandchildren, Hunter Michael Cushman, Marcus Franklin Cushman (Shawna Cushman), Ryan Tate, and Brandon Richard Tate. Survived by her mother, Charlotte Marie Boswell, father, deceased, Charles Franklin Boswell, sister, Patricia Pickerall (Edward Pickerall), Brother, Charles "Chuck" Boswell (deceased), Michael Boswell, and Kenneth Boswell (Patti Ann Boswell). Aunt Nan, is survived by her nephews and niece, Joseph Eric Pickerall, Jacob Boswell, Jason Boswell, and Kayla Harding (Tyler Harding). Nan also has a great-niece, Charlotte Harding (Kayla and Tyler Harding) and was soon to have another great-nephew or niece on the way. Nan has two step-children, Debbie Lawson (Barrett Lawson) and Michael Manning (Robin Manning) 3 step-grandchildren, Kyle Lawson, Ryan Lawson, and Tristan Manning. Survived by her 8 step-great-grandchildren. Nan loved each and every one of us and we were the pride and joy of her life.

Nan will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, wisdom, and legacy will live on through the many generations to go on.
