Naomi Lee Haynes Butler 88, of Virginia Beach, Va passed away early Friday morning, September 9, 2016 at the home she shared with her youngest daughter, Machiel Strader, and her husband, Steve Strader.

Naomi was born February 15, 1928 in Jackson County, West Virginia . Her first job was at age 10 doing laundry for the McGrew family to help out her own family. She had several jobs before owning her own dry cleaning business. She sold her business and moved to Lake of the Woods to be caregiver to her former husband, the late Joseph E. Butler. She later worked at Walmart at Central Park for 15 + yrs before moving to Virginia Beach, VA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Cozy Randolph Haynes and by her 4 brothers, Dorsel Haynes, Dale Haynes, Clay Edward Haynes and Chester Haynes and 1 sister, Georgia Ericcson.

Survivors include 2 daughters Charlene Freeland (Ron) and Machiel Strader (Steve) both of Virginia Beach, VA, 5 grandchildren, Tonia Stewart (Kevin), Ernie Graves (Deby) both of Norfolk, Va, Steve Strader Jr. (Ann), Kelly Mercado(Chris) and Alex May (Tami) all of Virginia Beach, Va, 9 great grandchildren. Brody Graves, Kristian Strader, Austin Strader, Jacob Mercado, Noah Mercado, Madison Graves, Logan Strader, Caitlynn Strader and Robert Stewart, and 1 great great-grandson, Braylon Edwards. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
