SSgt. Nicholas David "Nick" Feasel, 36, US Army Retd., of Fredericksburg, died on Monday, April 4, 2016. Nick was born on June 12, 1979 to David and Mary Ellen (Mayrose) Feasel in Fresno, CA. He graduated high school in Fresno and received a B.S. Degree from the State University of New York, Canton, in Emergency Management.
Nick joined the US Army on January 8, 1998 where he was with the Military Police for over nine years, before being medically discharged in 2007. He received the Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award), Army Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal (earned for service in Iraq for the year 2005-2006). Nick married Kelly Ann Parkes on September 3, 1999. After leaving the service, Nick was a member of the Lacona, New York Fire Department for 6 years, then began working with the Department of Defense as a Security Supervisor.
Survivors include his parents; David and Mary Ellen; wife, Kelly; son, Joshua; daughter Maya; sister, Lindsay Jacoby (Greg).
